IFRS : World domination

Every time I look at this picture (taken from IASB.com) I can't help but wonder how much the map looks like a world domination plan.

By the way, the map is effective January 1, 2011. Canada will be joining next year and the US is expected to join in a few years after everyone else has joined :)

I'm feeling happy today

Ok, I am back in my Montreal apartment, flipping through course outlines of my "oh-so-exciting" accounting courses.

This term I'm taking accounting for non-for profit organizations, which I am kind of excited about. I know very little this area and I though it might be fun to learn about it. Plus, there is a large demand for these type of accountants and if I really do enjoy this course I might actually go into it after graduating.

I'm also taking chemistry, which is strange because it's completely unrelated to my likings. Just as the non-profit acco, I thought it might be fun to take it as an elective. I realized I don't know much about sciences either and I'd like to know more. So, we'll see how that goes.

I also thought about taking Italian or Mandarin, but unfortunately both courses were full and then I realized I'd better enhance my French than study a whole other language.

I don't know how I will do it this semester with 4 accounting courses, but I am very optimistic.

So, I yet again conclude my post with a song. This is one of the recent works of Roxette.

Enjoy

Good ol' dance songs

How good it feels to be back

I am back... not just to my regular life, but to the place I consider one of the most dear cities to me.... Toronto

And by the way, that tax exam went awesome. I don't know why I was so worried

Ah, how good it feels to be back !

These are the things I would like to do on my 2 week stay in Toronto:

1. See as many as my friends as possible
2. Go skiing
3. Go skating beside City Hall
4. Read at least one novel (a break from textbooks)
5. Buy presents
6. Make sure Megumi has a great stay at our place
7. See New Year fireworks
8. Cook special meals
9. Get back on my usual work out schedule
10. Take advantage of Boxing day

Let the fun times begin!

16.5 Hours to go until tax exam

I don't think I've ever been so stressed out about exams as I am now. I am very worried about Tax tomorrow. Audit and Adv. Management Acco just pushed me to the wall, stole all my strength and motivation and ran off to Haiti.

And now, I am all out for Tax. All out.

Unfortunately, I am stressed to the point that every morning I wake up, open my eyes and see numbers and formulas fading away from my dream.

Today, I thought about deferring the exam, but I realized that it I've never done that up till now, and it's best that I not do it.

Blogs are good. They give you a break..... From everything.
