By the way, the map is effective January 1, 2011. Canada will be joining next year and the US is expected to join in a few years after everyone else has joined :)

IFRS : World domination
Every time I look at this picture (taken from IASB.com) I can't help but wonder how much the map looks like a world domination plan.
By the way, the map is effective January 1, 2011. Canada will be joining next year and the US is expected to join in a few years after everyone else has joined :)

I'm feeling happy today
Ok, I am back in my Montreal apartment, flipping through course outlines of my "oh-so-exciting" accounting courses.
This term I'm taking accounting for non-for profit organizations, which I am kind of excited about. I know very little this area and I though it might be fun to learn about it. Plus, there is a large demand for these type of accountants and if I really do enjoy this course I might actually go into it after graduating.
I'm also taking chemistry, which is strange because it's completely unrelated to my likings. Just as the non-profit acco, I thought it might be fun to take it as an elective. I realized I don't know much about sciences either and I'd like to know more. So, we'll see how that goes.
I also thought about taking Italian or Mandarin, but unfortunately both courses were full and then I realized I'd better enhance my French than study a whole other language.
I don't know how I will do it this semester with 4 accounting courses, but I am very optimistic.
So, I yet again conclude my post with a song. This is one of the recent works of Roxette.
Enjoy
